Frequently Asked Questions

Can I book an intake session?

Yes!  Call our office at 208-297-9495 to talk to Dr. Wall about which counselor will be the best fit for you.

What are your fees?

Some people choose to pay out of pocket because they do not have insurance or they want to simply the billing process and improve their confidently. Our private pay fees for service are:

$175 assessment (individual)

$150 each individual 50 minute session

$185 each 50 minutes couples session

Does insurance cover counseling?

Most insurance policies cover counseling like any other medical appointments.  So, if you have a copay of $20 to see a doctor, that is usually your fee for counseling also.

What is a counseling session like?

Every counselor approaches things a bit differently.  In general you can expect:

  • If you have not already completed the intake paperwork, it will be waiting for you in the lobby.

  • We start to get to know each other.  I may ask about your day, the weather, or just general nice person small talk. Because it’s important to feel like you’re easing your way in to a conversation with a stranger about your “big things”. But, if you want to start with the "big things" we can do that too.

  • I will ask about additional things that may or may not pertain to you. The reason for this is that I consider our first session an “assessment”, meaning we get a 360 degree view of your life and your goals and how I can support you in meeting them.

  • We will talk about a plan moving forward. This discussion usually involves setting a few general goals for our work together and talking about how frequently we will meet.

  • We will discuss our next appointment time and you’ll be on your way.

What forms do I need to fill out?

This is the intake packet needed prior to the start of your first appointment.  Please print it and scan or bring it to your first appointment.
