A quick gut check

Do we need couples therapy?

Check anything that feels true lately. There's no score, just a starting point.

We keep having the same argument over and over
We feel more like roommates than partners
Something happened that broke trust, and we haven't fully worked through it
Our conversations turn into fights faster than they used to
A big life change has put new pressure on us
We feel distant, physically or emotionally
I've wondered whether this relationship can be saved
We've been meaning to talk to someone for a while now
Benefits of couples therapy
Why it helps

What couples therapy can do

It won't erase every disagreement, but it can change how the two of you move through them together. Tap to read more.

A neutral space for both of you

Your counselor isn't on either side. The goal is understanding, not deciding who's right.

New ways to communicate

Practical tools for talking, and listening, that hold up outside the session.

A clearer view of your patterns

Seeing the cycle you keep repeating is often what makes it possible to break.

Room to rebuild, at your pace

Whether you're repairing trust or just reconnecting, the process moves at a pace that fits your relationship.

Dr. Wall & Associates team
Who you'll be working with

About Dr. Wall & Associates.

Dr. Wall founded this practice on a simple idea: that good therapy meets people exactly where they are, without an agenda for who they should become. That idea has grown into a team of eight fully licensed clinicians who take on the cases other places tend to pass on, dissociation, chronic mental illness, family systems untangling generations of patterns.

Sessions here feel less like a clinical appointment and more like sitting down with someone who already gets it. Every clinician carries deep trauma training, most are certified in EMDR, and the team works with people across the full range of ages, identities, and life experience.

Common questions

Before you start

Do you accept my insurance?

We accept most insurance, including Medicaid, aside from Medicare and Tricare.

Do you offer virtual sessions?

Yes, virtual and in-person sessions are both available, whichever fits your life better.

Do we both need to attend every session?

Most sessions include both partners together, but your counselor may also meet with each of you individually at times, depending on what's most useful for the work.

How soon can we be seen?

We'll reach out within 1–2 business days of your request to get you matched with a clinician.

Are your clinicians licensed?

Yes, every clinician currently on our team is fully licensed.

What if we don't agree on what the problem is?

That's common, and it's okay. You don't need to walk in agreeing on the problem. Part of the work is understanding both perspectives and finding what's actually going on underneath.

What if couples therapy doesn't work for us?

Not every approach fits every couple, and that's okay. If something isn't clicking, we adjust the approach or the pace rather than assuming it isn't for you.

Is what we share confidential?

Yes. What you share in session stays with your clinician, with the same legal and ethical protections as any licensed provider, aside from a few narrow exceptions your clinician will walk you through upfront.

What if we've never done couples therapy before?

Most of our clients haven't either. Your first session is really just a conversation, getting to know each other and figuring out what you're hoping to get out of this.

What if we don't click with our therapist?

Fit matters, and it's fine to say so. If your first clinician isn't the right match, we'll help you find someone who is.

Counseling is for everyone.
