Sex Therapy.

A judgment-free space to talk openly about intimacy, connection, and the parts of life that are hard to bring up anywhere else.

What is it

What is sex therapy?

Sex therapy is a space, individual or with your partner(s), to talk openly about intimacy, desire, and connection without shame or judgment. Whatever brought you in, whether it's a specific concern, a mismatch in desire, or just wanting a better relationship with your own body and sexuality, your counselor is there to listen and help, not to make assumptions about what your experience should look like.

Sessions are talk-based. There's no physical exam, no touch, and no exercises done in the room. The work is about understanding what's happening, where it comes from, and what might help, at a pace that feels comfortable for you.

What we help with

What brings people to sex therapy

Tap any of these to learn a little more about what it can look like.

Mismatched desire

One partner wanting more or less intimacy than the other, and not knowing how to talk about it.

Body image & self-consciousness

Feeling disconnected from or uncomfortable in your own body during intimate moments.

Sexual anxiety or performance worries

Pressure or fear around intimacy that gets in the way of actually being present.

Past experiences affecting intimacy

Earlier experiences that still shape how safe or comfortable intimacy feels now.

Life changes affecting intimacy

Illness, aging, parenthood, or other transitions that shift how intimacy looks and feels.

Exploring identity & desire

Wanting a clearer, more honest relationship with your own desires and identity.

We take Medicaid, always.

Most insurance is welcome here, aside from Medicare and Tricare. New clinicians carry Medicaid caseloads; our fully licensed team takes the rest. Two pro-bono intern slots are open too.

Common questions

Before you start

Do I need a partner to do sex therapy?

No, sex therapy can be done individually or with your partner(s), whichever fits what you're working through.

Is there any physical exam or touch involved?

No. Sex therapy is entirely talk-based. There is no physical exam and no touch involved in sessions.

Is this confidential, even from my partner(s)?

Yes. Individual sessions are confidential, and your counselor will always be clear about how confidentiality works if you're attending with partner(s).

Do you accept my insurance?

We accept most insurance, aside from Medicare and Tricare, and we always accept Medicaid. Clinicians who are newer to the team carry Medicaid caseloads, while our fully licensed clinicians take on other insurance types, so there's a good mix across the practice.

Are your clinicians licensed?

Yes, every clinician currently on our team is fully licensed.
